Bicycle Patrol Unit

In an effort to increase efficiency and promote positive contacts between the residents and the Warwick Township Police Department, the force employs the use of mountain bikes in a wide variety of applications.

Currently, there are four officers trained in bicycle patrol practices and the unit is put into action whenever scheduling allows.  Some of the duties of the bicycle patrol unit include routine patrol in the township parks, including the extensive trail system that winds it's way through the township, as well as shopping center duty, neighborhood patrols, drug interdiction, support for special operations, parades and special events.
